How to Recover from Lost Employee Benefits

The healthcare industry is in a state of crisis. Health Insurance rates are rising by 10 to 15 percent each year. In some cases these increases are causing companies to reduce or drop all healthcare benefits to their employees. Employers experience high turnover rates and lose productivity in attempting to refill the newly vacant positions because of the lack of benefits.

There is an estimated 44 million people in America without health insurance and an additional 75 millions are under insured. It has been a problem with no end in site.

These are the three most popular questions people are asking about lost benefits.

Why are there so many un-insured people today?

The answer to this is quite simple. In this changing economy where lay offs and outsourcing is normal, it has lead to a large number of displaced un-insured families and loss of primary income sources. Along with the rising cost of service by health care providers, premiums have shot up each year to the point that many people cant afford health insurance. To add insult to injury many employers are cutting benefits because they simple cant afford the high premiums, instead sometime offering raises.

What is a person to do when they cant afford health insurance?

Many people have had to resort to going to county hospitals and other social aid programs. Letting the tax payer pay for the bill for their health care may affect peoples self esteem and puts a strain on their job. This may also cause problems with in the families and stress among marriages which leads to other problems in our society.

Is there any alternative for people with out health care? Yes there is. There are organizations or associations that will help people in todays health care market purchase their health care for a wholesale price.

How does the future look for people in the health care market. The situation has in the past looked bleak. However with new choices and innovative resources people are able to find the right benefits that will meet their familys needs. All it takes is a little research into your options and a willingness to take control of your own health care and benefits.
